I’ve fallen In love with Morocco. I’ve been here a few times now and the place just keeps getting better and better.

This time I stayed a few nights at the Sofitel In Marrakech and had a night at the Four Seasons ( only the one because it was so expensive ) I went on a 6 hour walk in the Atlas Mountains and Went to see one of the biggest waterfalls in North Africa. I have come back probably 2 stone heavier due to the amount of bread that I have consumed but It was so worth it.

Where do I start? Ummmm Ok, we’re gonna work backwards, My final trip of the holiday was going to see one of the biggest waterfalls In North Africa. If you guys haven’t visited Ouzoud Falls yet, please put it on your bucket list of things to do. It was a 3 and a half hour trip in the car, honestly I was asleep for most of it and when I woke up I couldn’t have been In a more beautiful place, my driver and local guide were fantastic! the walk down to the bottom of the waterfall into the valleys was breathtaking!

There’s wild monkeys that you can feed along the way, you can’t stroke or touch them but they will jump on your shoulder to take food or sit with you whilst you feed them apples or nuts ( I took some fruit from the hotel buffet breakfast ) take your bikini or swimming shorts as you will want to dive right into the water, I have videos of the locals diving off the cliff from quite high up, I didn’t get involved in that because quite frankly I didn’t have the guts .. however, if you have the balls bring your go pro and get ready to jump! After you’ve finished mucking around in the pools It’s time for lunch in the most beautiful surroundings, you’re literally sitting on the edge of a cliff!( if you have vertigo this might not be for you )

I used the company TrekkingInMorocco run by Mohammad and they are amazing. The whole experience was a 10/10 if you’re in Marrakech and want to go up into the Atlas Mountains these are your guides. I can’t thank them enough for looking after me and ensuring that I had the best time ever.

If you’re looking for a few fun things to do and try out whilst in Marrakech here’s a few other day trips I went on that you might Like:

Comptoir Darna

For a fun evening of belly dancing and great Moroccan food go to Comptoir Darna. This was my second time going here and it was just as fun and exciting as my first. The entertainment is great ( get ready to dance with the belly dancers and they will pull you up from your chair, don’t be shy ) The food is incredible, I went for the Morrocan set meal and was so full by dessert I had to unbutton my trousers as my belly was ready to pop!

Four Seasons Brunch

Right, this is a little pricey but I mean come on afterall you’re on holiday why not spoil yourself? and seriously its so worth it for your surroundings, the food and the environment. It’s an all you can eat buffet with every different type of food you can think of, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean etc … Bring your best bikini as you will want to get that Instagram shot!

Mount Toubkal – Walk up the Atlas Mountains

Right I have blogged about this a few times, I’ve been twice ( all with the same touring company ( TrekkingInMorocco ) have never made it to the top … but one day I will … If you’re into long mountain walks with breath taking views, are quite fit and feel the need to see the world from the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains book your two day trek … Maybe not in winter tho because it’s DAMN HARD! Beware of altitude sickness too!

YSL House

The Majorelle Garden is probably one of the most visited sites in Morocco ( I say this because when I went it was PACKED full of people, with a long queue waiting to get in. It was so so busy ) It’s absolutely stunning inside, the colours the landscaping … the whole lot! You’ll end up spending more time in the gardens than you planned.

Nikki Beach

Right from the reviews, I thought this was gonna be packed full of guys showing off with huge bottles of champagne popping all over the¬†place that’s cost them around 4 grand,¬†drinks that cost more than a Rolex watch and gorgeous playboy models all looking for their sugar daddies. My experience was the complete opposite, It was busy but not too much, the service was great, the food was even better. I had a manicure and pedicure for just 20 euros each ?!? I loved it here, it wasn’t over priced at all, the music was spot on and it was about 38 degrees so I sweated out all those Aperol Spritzs I was drinking!
